Happy Halloween!

This is a Halloween photo dump:
Grandma and Sterling at the trunk or treat @ my parent's ward:

Chandler and his "girlfriend"/"she's not my girlfriend!" at school:

On Halloween night we had dinner and went trick or treating with our friends...

Bones with blood sauce...

Now, for the "everyone line up on the wall", inside, at night, horrible lighting pictures...

The kids went by themselves to the doors this year!

Sterling and Scarlett tried to go inside...

Later, the wachs came over for a short visit...

Here's Chandler being hilarious..

I love Halloween, and it's 8,000 times more fun with kids.  We had such a wonderful time, and I can't believe it's over.  Happy Halloween!

Pumpkins!

While driving home from California on Sunday Brandon said to me, "Disneyland was it... the beginning of the end of the year."  He was right, the holidays are upon us and we are about to be a lot more busy.

Chandler has been begging to go to the pumpkin patch with the big toys since they put it up next to Walmart weeks ago.  We've been planning a trip, and then postponing it for quite sometime now.  Yesterday, I realized that we didn't have enough evenings before Wednesday for us to go to the patch with Dad and carve pumpkins with Dad.  So, I took the kids alone.

They rode on the train....

...and on the spinny ride..

....and they sat in the pumpkin patch...

.... and Sterling didn't really understand the put your head in the hole and smile concept....

....and they held hands without me asking them to...

Disneyland!

Friday, was Nevada day (there's no school) so Brandon took the day off work and we went to Disneyland.  It was perfect.  The weather was warm, but not too warm, the lines were short, and the park was decorated for Halloween.

The kids were fantastically behaved, and incredibly tired when we got home.

Best of all, Chandler was tall enough to go on all of the rides, and I didn't realize how many rides don't have height restrictions.  Sterling went on plenty of rides too!  Also best of all, Chandler got to meet Woody.

And we took silly pictures while waiting in line..

Soooooo fun!

An October Post

I looked at my blog and thought, "Am I going to go the entire month of October without posting?"

We have just been so busy!  Since I posted last, Chandler has been busy at school, Sterling is busy being two, Grandma and Grandpa Tate visited, we watched conference, Chandler won the "super citizen" award at school, I started working in activity days (so fun!), Brandon is very busy at work and got a raise (woo!), we're busy making Halloween costumes and gawfing over the fact that we are already almost done with October!

Coming up we have, my 26th birthday, a Disneyland trip, ward Halloween and Christmas parties, Brandon's mom and Eric are coming for a visit, Grandpa Dave is coming for a visit, a trip to Park City, Uncle Jared comes home from his mission, celebrating Christmas with my family in California, Halloween, and Thanksgiving too...somewhere in there I need to have our family pictures taken so I can send out Christmas cards...

It's the holidays.  The weather has cooled down and we are enjoying perfect sunny days and cool breezy nights.

And because a post without pictures is boring here are some pictures of us feed the geese at the park by our house.  It was a perfect day, but the geese were very aggressive.

Goodbye Summer!

Since Labor Day is over, and I liked doing this post last year, here are some of my favorite pictures from summer 2012.

So excited for the holidays!

A Love Triangle

Chandler: You know, Mike, Scarlett's daddy?
Davy: No..?
Chandler: You know, Scarlett; my girlfriend.

Chandler to random kids on the play toy at McDonald's: That's my girlfriend Scarlett! (as he runs past her)

Chandler was to be Scarlett's boyfriend.  It was determined even before she was born.

....we take pictures and make plans to show them at their wedding reception....

He even gave her a car, a long time ago.

Then Sterling was born, and then there was some confusion about who's girlfriend she would be..... but Sterling didn't seem interested, and Scarlett was offended.

But lately, Sterling has shown some interest.

...and no one knows what to think...
except Scarlett is a lucky lady.

Sterling Turns Two!

Sterling turned two while the boys and I were in California.  We had a little cake there, and we had a little more cake with Daddy and a few friends when we were home.

This opening presents stuff is serious business.

Sterling scored two Buzz Lightyears, a Buzz tent, a cow and a horse.

One of the Buzzes even came in a Victoria's Secret bag.

Sterling is almost the complete opposite of Chandler.  He is a very busy baby; always getting into something. He is loud, yelling, screaming and singing as loud as he can.  He is surely more aggressive than Chandler more than once we have seen him full on punch Chandler in the eye.  Of course there was a time out, but Chandler kind of deserved it.  Sterling, after punching, always gives the best hugs.  We wants to give you hugs and kisses and snuggles just all the time.  He's really a sweet little monster.

He says quite a bit, and even a few two word sentences every once and while.  He just refuses to say anyone's name though..  He eats like a champ, and I am pretty confident that he eats more calories a day than I do (no worries, healthy calories).  He climbs, jumps, and destroys everything.  He follows Chandler around and wants to do everything his big brother does.  I am hoping that will translate well into potty training in the next couple of months.

We are excited to watch him grow up... we love you Sterling!
