Brian and Christina

Yesterday we went to the beach to do engagement pictures for my old friend Brian (Nelson) and his fiancee Christina.
 
We were worried about rain, but the weather was beautiful!
 

I'm pretty happy with the turn out, I hope they are.  They were super fun to work with, and I hadn't seen Nelson in years, so it was fun to reunite and tell stories about when we were 10 :-)

Chandler's first hair cut!

Chandler got his first hair cut!  His hair was out of controll, and people kept telling us how cute SHE is. :-)

Also, my mom got a dog!  Her name in Grendal and Chandler hates her :-P  She is very persistant at licking his face :-)  However, she is super cute!

Update

I am finished with my student teaching!! What a wonderful experience it was. My students said good bye and we all cried. It is such a strange feeling having no homework, no classes, and no daily routine. I know it will be very strange in September. There has not been a September where i didn't start school in as long as I remember. :-O

So after three months in Vegas, we packed up as quickly as possible and left town. It just wasn't our place. Currently, we are back with my parents and Brandon is back to his pioneer business. :-) He loves the job and we are hoping to save some money before we start chiro college. We are happy to be here, and Chandler is happy for all the Aunt and Uncle attention. He also enjoys pulling all the books off the shelves. We're having such a good time. Last week, chandler fells asleep in his high chair.. check it out. He's also getting close to walking (or we think so). He has pushing toys that he likes to push around.

My brother, Nathan, is now in the mission field in Argentina. He sounds like he is doing good, and his letters sound like he really enjoys it. My parents are going to see Adam, my older brother, graduate from BYU this weekend. Brandon and I are babysitting. Then, Adam will be home...Life here is a little more balanced when Adam comes home because Jared stops trying to be boss. :-)

So, we're here in California till at least June. We do love the perfect weather. :-)

HAPPY St Patrick's Day!
It's weird not be in school on St Patrick's Day this year. We're on spring break, which is also weird because it's March. Does anyone know why Easter is so early this year? Does anyone know how we decide when Easter is? I am really enjoying my time off. It's nice to not have to think about lesson plans every two minutes. Last week I had a dream about one of my students, and that's when I knew I needed a break! :-) Easter is on Sunday, but Brandon has to work that night, so we don't know what we are going to do. He has been working all night, and sleeping all day. It's really not such a bad situation except I hate being home alone at night. Last year, we were home by Easter.. Of course it was in April last year :-)
Chandler is standing up everywhere! He is super good at getting up, and getting a lot better at getting down. For a while he would get stuck and cry because he didn't know how to get down. Now he can get down, move from one piece of furniture to the next and walk back and forth across the coach while holding on. It is exciting, but I am not really ready for him to walk. He seems to be picking up this standing thing more quickly than he did with the crawling thing... we wonder how much longer we have unit we are chasing him around.
We are starting to get excited about Portland (well, at least I am). I wonder what it will be like there. People here are so friendly. Will people there be as interested in us? Will we make friends quickly? There is one ward with like 26 Chiro students in it. I hope we live in that ward. I love the rain too...but I wonder how much I will like it when it is constant. It seems like we are always living in extremes. Extreme cold, extreme heat, extreme rain.

Sporatic

..Chandler loves his baby bach

I know I havee been sporatic in my updating, but Brandon and I have been very busy.  Things in Vegas are starting to look up. Brandon got a job doing night audit at a local hotel.  It's part of the Marriot chain, so there's no casino and no smoking (a plus).  My student teaching is already 1/2 way over, and I can't believe it!  Spring break is in a few weeks too.  The weather turned up too!  It was 72 yesterday!  Beautiful.  People are saying that by may it starts getting hot... you know, vegas HOT!  :-P  We have been trying to decide how long we want to stay here and it's still up in the air.  But i think, come June (when our contract expires) we will be so hot we will be more than ready to leave.  We'll see.  We miss our friends dearly.  People have been very nice, and we have a few couple friends in the ward.  However, it seems we will never replace our friends we left in Idaho, and those who will soon be leaving as well.  We are enjoying being close to home tho.  
We have been to my parents twice.  
   

So, all in all, life is good.  The weather is beautiful, and our neighboors started smoking outside.  This is a good thing because then the smell doesnt come up through the floor.
