Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary

We went to the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary for playgroup a couple of weeks ago.  It's a pretty fun place, but it has A LOT of birds and bird poop.  They also have quite a few other animals.  For four bucks (or something like that) it's totally worth it.

This chicken totally let Sterling pet him...

Sterling wasn't scared of any of the animals and wanted to pet everything.. so fun!  These goats bombarded us when we opened the gate... like they're seriously trying to escape.

This hilarious llama just sat up on top of the hill.  The sensei llama.

Playgroup is the best!!

Go White Socks!

Chandler started baseball this year.  It's been really fun.  I've always felt like baseball is really boring, but watching Chandler is so fun.  I think anytime you can watch your kids work hard, get better and succeed it's fun.

I know some of you are probably critiquing his form, but all I can see are how bright his eyes glow.  Also, I know nothing about form.

Running home!!

We got so lucky as far as team mates go!  There are three other families from our stake with boys on the team and 2 other three year old boys.  Sterling has a great time with his friends.

Sometimes Winston (who got into the "zombie blood" while I was making Halloween costumes) comes with us.  He is a great subject for adjusting my camera settings.

Goodbye Summer!

WHAT?  How is it September?

Anyway, here are my favorites from summer 2013.

I hope your summers were as jam packed with fun as ours was.

Labor Day California Trip

We took our besties the Wachs and the Humpherys with us to California for the long weekend.  It was an exhaustingly good time.

We spent Saturday at the beach, and everyone was, understandably, a little timid at first...

Except Sterling..

When everyone was tired of the sand (and the chasing of children) we hung out at the neighboring pool...

We went back to my parents house and ate pork burritos and played games.  We were all so tired and sun burned, I don't even remember going to bed that night.

It was nice to have Sunday in the middle of our trip.  We took naps, and just hung out.

Monday Julie and I spent the morning (and too much money) at Ikea.  Then we "stool" a crazy lady's table and spent the afternoon at the beach club.. which I didn't take pictures of except of us on the paddle boats. Which Julie actually took.

After a difficult summer (year), this is exactly what we needed.  It was wonderful, and now I'm ready for the holidays to roll in!!

You can see the rest of the pictures on my facebook.
